Mapping What Ails
You If you're
feeling "under the weather," check out The
Weather Channel's daily health maps Web site. The site
features U.S. maps that might offer some clues about why you
feel like you do.
National maps detail zones of
respiratory distress, pain, flu, temperature and wind chill.
Localized reports show air quality, allergen counts for
specific irritants such as pollens and molds and flu
conditions for every city.
The site's message boards
let you swap ideas with others who are physically affected by
the weather. Discussions center on seasonal-affective
disorder, weather fears and phobias, and how to alleviate
weather-related pain and pressure.
People have long
maintained the weather directly affects their bodies. Now,
they have proof.
